07 Arcade Nimbo: the complete wiki
Nimbo is an original Vexply one-button arcade game: you guide a little drone between hanging girders and windowed towers, and every gap you clear scores a point. It’s free in your browser, and the challenge grows with your score.
How to play
Controls
- Fly
- Space, up arrow, W, click or tap
- Pause
- P (on phones, the pause button)
Modes and options
- Easy
- Wide gaps and a calm speed to learn the rhythm.
- Normal
- Starts roughly where Easy ends.
- Hard
- Smaller gaps, more speed and obstacles that change height more. Each level keeps its own record.
Rules
- Gravity pulls the drone down; every tap gives it a lift.
- Flying through the gap between a girder and a tower scores a point.
- Touch an obstacle or the ground and the game is over; the top of the sky only stops you.
- As you score, the drone speeds up and the gaps shrink, up to a cap that is always beatable.
Strategy
Nimbo is played with rhythm more than reflexes. The steadiest approach is to keep the drone at mid height with regular taps and correct only as needed before each gap. Start big height changes early, two or three taps ahead, rather than climbing all at once.
Tips
- Don’t over-tap: several short, regular taps are easier to control than one long burst.
- Watch the next gap, not the drone, so you set your height early.
- A low gap is often followed by a high one; start climbing before you leave it.
- If you lose the rhythm, use pause to breathe: the game isn’t lost.
Common mistakes
- Tapping too much to climb fast: several short, regular taps are easier to control.
- Watching the drone instead of the next gap: you react late to changes in height.
- Starting to climb when you reach a high gap: big changes need preparing two or three taps ahead.

FAQ

- Does each difficulty have its own record?
- Yes: Easy, Normal and Hard save their best scores separately.
