Chess mode

Two-player chess

Playing chess with someone next to you needs no connection or accounts: you share the board on one device and each player moves on their turn.

The board only accepts legal moves, so neither of you has to police the rules: castling, en passant, promotion and every kind of draw work by themselves.

  • Optional clock: 3+2, 10+0 or 15+10, or no time limit.
  • Names for each player, a board that flips itself each turn, draw offers and resigning.
  • For a proper rematch, set up a best-of-3 or best-of-5 duel from Party, with a session scoreboard.
